Embers Star Turn
OSCAR-winning actor Tim Robbins and his City Of Embers co-star Harry Treadaway stunned regulars at a Belfast pub when they gave they jumped up on stage and gave them an impromptu concert.
While most actors like to have an early night to prepare for filming, Robbins preferred to knock back pints in a local pub which staged a lock-in.
Emboldened by the drink, Robbins suddenly grabbed a guitar and dragged his pal Harry up on to the stage.
“It was about 2 or 3 o’ clock in the morning in a bar,” recalls 24-year-old Treadaway. “The idea probably happened about 30 seconds before we did it.
“I (played) metal spoons on the table, and he was playing guitar.”
Their performance earned them wild applause from drinkers.
