Chance for a Sunday Night at the Drifters
THE Drifters are to perform live in the Capital to help celebrate their 55th anniversary.
The group, one of the biggest selling bands ever, will perform at the Festival Theatre next month as part of the Sacrifice Tour 2008.
The band have sold more than 214 million singles and 114 million albums across the world.
Since their creation, the line up has included more than 55 different singers, including icons such as Ben E King.
The Sacrifice Tour 2008 features the only legitimate Drifters line up in the world, and includes unseen footage from the last 50 years of The Drifters’ history.
The show also features songs from their new album, ‘Five Decades and Moore’ named in honour of the longest serving group member, Johnny Moore, who died ten years ago this year.
