New Book Series Launch Aimed at Educating Children Under Three About Animals

Posted on: Tuesday, 14 October 2008, 09:00 CDT

Zoobooks, a magazine series that brings animal learning fun to children, has just launched Zoobies, a new series for the littlest ones - newborn to age three. This one-of-a-kind series is designed to spark a child's development through the world of animals. Zoobies introduces mind-building concepts such as colors, numbers, shapes and sizes, and each bi-monthly issue is about a new animal or animal group. In addition to Zoobooks signature characteristics, such as captivating animal photographs and beautiful illustrations, Zoobies is built on durable toddler-tough pages with lift-flaps and peek-a-boo features.

"Animals are the rock stars of early childhood. We hope Zoobies will be the infant-toddler "Rolling Stone" magazine - but without the ads," explains Bob Harper, Publisher of Zoobooks. "Our child development experts and designers have created a fun read for mom, dad and baby. Research says make reading fun for a child as soon as possible. And to be fun for the child, it has to be fun for the parent too."

Zoobies is the Company's third collection, following Zoobooks, a series containing 58 different titles on animals from A-Z and designed for children over five years of age, and Zootles, an animal collection for pre and emerging readers 3-6 years old that is hosted by Otto, a playful otter, and Allie, a curiously cute hedgehog.

"Like magazines, Zoobies, Zootles and Zoobooks come in the mail and are inexpensive - less than $2 a month - but most of our readers value our issues like books," said Harper. "And Zoobies is no exception. The format is a break-through in magazine technology with lift-the-flap fun and cutouts."

Every subscriber to Zoobies, Zootles and Zoobooks gains entry to The Secret Jungle at www.zoobooks.com, and a free ride on twice monthly e-safaris. The Secret Jungle is a treasure trove of educational and creative activities for kids of all ages.

A one-year subscription to Zoobies (Zootles or Zoobooks) ordered online costs $23.95. Single books are available online for $4.99 as well as at zoo and museum gift shops around the nation.

The series is produced by Wildlife Education, Ltd., 1123 Emerson St. Ste. 211, Evanston, IL.
