The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles Hosts Food Network As the Search Begins for The Next Food Network Star on October 15th

The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles is hosting one of Food Network's national castings for the new season of The Next Food Network Star. The network is currently conducting a nation-wide talent search for its popular reality show and encourages both professional and amateur chefs to apply. On Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. open auditions will take place at 2900 31st Street, Santa Monica. Interested applicants should bring an application (available at www.FoodNetwork.com), photograph and resume and/or bio to the auditions, which will allow them to meet with network casting directors.
Pay parking is available on 31st Street in the 2900 building business parking lot. Check in with the security at the front desk in the 2900 building upon arrival.
In addition to the casting calls, applicants have until Friday, October 31st, 2008 to send in a three minute audition video explaining why he/she should be Food Network's newest star. For applications and contest rules, simply visit www.FoodNetwork.com and click on 'Be On TV'.
Food Network has greenlit a fifth season of its hugely successful reality series The Next Food Network Star. The recently completed fourth season of Star was the highest-rated series in Food Network history and the cabler is looking for outstanding chefs and home cooks to join the ranks of past winners like Guy Fieri and the newly-crowned Aaron McCargo Jr. to compete for the opportunity to win his or her own Food Network series.
The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles offers both bachelor and associate degree programs (depending on the area of study).
