One Weekend Plus One-Stop Shopping Equals Too Much Fun
LONG BEACH, Calif., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- For one weekend only, the Long Beach Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show will return to the Long Beach Convention Center, October 17-19, 2008, providing customers with a mesmerizing experience packed with fun, food, shopping and some of the best entertainment in the country.
For the first time, country music super star Crystal Shawanda will be performing a special one-hour concert joining the Harvest Festival in recognizing October as "Breast Cancer Awareness" month. Crystal's performance will take place on Friday, October 17th from 5-6 pm. A strong advocate for women, the Country Music Channel documented her rise to fame in a six part documentary series called "Crystal: Living the Dream" this past February. She was recently featured in People Magazine where her new album was awarded 3 out of 4 stars. She will be delighting Harvest Festival guests in an exclusive one hour performance, so don't miss the chance to meet this amazing young personality.
Along with delightful entertainment, 300 artisans have gathered from across the county to showcase the most amazing assortment of more than 24,000 original handmade gifts. Everything from blown glass, clothing, pottery, jewelry, gourmet foods, and delightful accessories, home decor, and fine art will be available for sale. This whimsical shopping experience couples art, music, laughter and dining together to provide guests with an enjoyable weekend excursion for the entire family.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the official charity recipient of the show. When entering the show, bags are available for sale with half of the proceeds for the bags and all of the proceeds from the parcel check going to this worthy charity. Since its founding in 1982, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has donated over $1 billion to fulfill its vision to become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
