Courteney Cox Headed for ‘Cougar Town’

U.S. actress Courteney Cox, best known for her roles on TV's "Friends" and "Dirt," has signed on to star in a new comedy series called "Cougar Town."

The New York Daily News said Cox will play a newly single mother in her 40s prowling for younger men in the new ABC sit-com.

She is also executive producing the show, along with "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence, who is co-writing the pilot, the newspaper said.
