Bubbly Served Illegally at Theater?

Police in Sweden say they are looking into whether a movie theater broke alcohol laws by serving champagne at the Karlskoga premiere of "Quantum of Solace."

The film, starring Daniel Craig, is the latest installment in the James Bond franchise.

The Swedish news agency TT said a police officer filed an official complaint after reading a newspaper account of how moviegoers were treated to champagne at the recent Saga theater screening of "Quantum."

"The forthcoming investigation will show whether drinks were in fact served illegally," police spokesman Stig Thored told the Karlskoga-Kuriren newspaper.

Hakan Enock, the theater's manager, said it was his understanding alcohol could be served to a closed group without a permit.

"But if I've made a mistake, I'll take the punishment," he told The Local newspaper.
