Chevy Partners With CMA to Offer 2008 CMA Awards Tickets at a Reduced Cost to Music Fans

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- "Country Music's Biggest Night(TM)" is not to be missed and now Chevy is making sure that music fans can enjoy the excitement and glamour alongside the artists and industry mavens when "The 42nd Annual CMA Awards" airs live Wednesday, Nov. 12 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network from the Sommet Center in Nashville.
Chevy: The Official Ride of Country Music is partnering with CMA to offer a "Chevy Value Pack" with ticket specials and giveaways for a very limited time.
"It's terrific that Chevy is willing to make this special offer possible for the fans," said CMA Chief Executive Officer Tammy Genovese. "No one should miss this extraordinary celebration of the greatest music in America."
The "Chevy Value Pack" includes the consumer's choice of either two (2) Bronze-level CMA Awards tickets for $99 (a $220 value); or two (2) Silver-level CMA Awards tickets for $295 (a $655 value). Completing each "Chevy Value Pack" will be a commemorative CMA Awards poster and a 2009 Chevy Country Music Calendar, which features several 2008 CMA Awards nominees including Jason Alden, Rodney Atkins, Lady Antebellum, and James Otto.
A limited number of tickets are available for his promotion and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion starts at Tuesday, Nov. 11 (2:00 PM/CT) leading up to the 2008 Chevy CMA Awards Kickoff Concert. The concert, which starts at 4:00 PM/CT, is free and open to the public on the Sommet Center Plaza, at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway in Downtown Nashville. Artists performing include Rodney Atkins, Eli Young Band, Kevin Costner and Modern West, and Heidi Newfield.
The promotion continues throughout Wednesday, Nov. 12 in celebration of the "Good Morning America" performance on the same Chevy Stage of Miley Cyrus, star of Disney's "Hannah Montana" and the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated film "Bolt," and her father, television co-star and duet partner Billy Ray Cyrus. The "Good Morning America" performance is free to the public on the Sommet Center Plaza.
The "Chevy Value Pack" will be sold at the Sommet Center Box Office, 501 Broadway (corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway); online at Ticketmaster, http://www.ticketmaster.com/; or by calling (615) 255-9600. There is a limit of four (4) tickets per order. All prices include sales tax, but exclude applicable service/handling fees.
Previously announced performers for "The 42nd Annual CMA Awards" include co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, along with Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney with The Wailers, the Eagles, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, James Otto, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and a surprise performer.
Presenters previously announced include Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Julianne Hough, actor Hugh Jackman, actress Nicole Kidman, Heidi Newfield, Jake Owen, John Rich, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Jimmy Wayne, actress Reese Witherspoon, Lee Ann Womack, and a surprise presenter.

The special will be shot in high definition and broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound.
