Sanity Entertainment Deploys Sitecore’s Web CMS to Develop LoadIT Digital Music Store
Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) and portal software, today announced that Sanity Entertainment, Australia's largest independent music retailer with more than 230 music outlets, has deployed Sitecore's Web CMS for development of LoadIT, a digital music download service. The LoadIT music store offers users the ability to easily search and preview over a million songs and download purchased music.
Sanity LoadIT is an online music subscription service that enables users to easily search through a large music database. Users can register, create subscription accounts and download paid-for songs, which they can then listen to on their PCs or take with them on portable MP3 players. The LoadIT service runs on Windows Media Player 11 and has a very visually appealing interface, with rich images and graphics accompanying the music options. On the server side where the music store resides, Sitecore's flexibility and open API allowed the development team to provide a wide music selection providing a fast and seamless integration into the consumer's Windows Media Player interface. The Beta launch of LoadIT was on August 14, 2008, and Sanity has already received many thousands of new registered users.
"With Sitecore's technology and ubeeTech's technological and business expertise, we were able to develop Sanity LoadIT, a rich, vibrant and easy-to-use service that makes online music accessible for the masses and reflects the excitement of our stores," said Ray Itaoui, CEO of Sanity Entertainment. "The service gives consumers freedom and choice because it lets users listen to vast amounts of music across many different personal music players -- not just on the one brand. We are able to provide a fast and user-friendly online experience coupled with extremely efficient search capabilities."
"ubeeTech illustrates the strength of Sitecore's growing partner network and the flexibility of the Sitecore product," said Philipp Heltewig, General Manager for Sitecore Australia. "With Sitecore's technology Sanity was able to quickly and more easily develop LoadIT, which met their customer's existing expectations, and take the success they had from their retail stores to a potentially much larger community online. This project demonstrates both the booming interest in Sitecore in the Australian region, but also how any business can successfully transition to the online marketplace."
