Eugenie narrowly missed Mumbai massacre
Britain’s Princess Eugenie, 18, had been staying at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai shortly before last week’s terrorist attacks, a royal source said.
The princess, who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, had been touring India with friends along with a Scotland Yard royal protection officer, The Times of London said.
She left the hotel before the violence broke out and was never in danger, the royal source told the newspaper.
The Times didn’t, however, indicate exactly when the teen left Mumbai, although it did say she departed Saturday from India to continue her travels through Asia.
The death toll for the attacks in Mumbai as of Tuesday was 173.
