Managing Large Cash Deposits in Volatile Times

Posted on: Wednesday, 3 December 2008, 06:35 CST

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- As the economy struggles, pressure is mounting for "safe" money solutions. Large-dollar depositors are concerned about conveniently and safely managing their cash and cash equivalents. The CDARS(R) service enables participants to access full FDIC protection in excess of 50 million through a single financial institution. With CDARS, depositors may earn attractive interest rates, and select from maturities ranging from one month to five years. The recent demand for the CDARS service has been strong.

Calton & Associates, Inc. is working with Promontory Interfinancial Network to offer the first, national, educational, public webinar on the CDARS service. A separate CPA course with CPE credit is also offered. Participants will receive a general overview of how CDARS works. No specific offerings will be reviewed or discussed. The webinar is suitable for large depositors (over $500,000.00) who want to learn about strategies that can conveniently maximize FDIC protection. Interested depositors can be: Individuals, Cash Managers, Treasurers, Fiduciaries, Businesses, Non-Profit Organizations and Public Funds. Promontory Interfinancial Network created the CDARS service and now has over 2600 FDIC member banks in the network. Eugene Ludwig, former Comptroller of the Currency, founded Promontory. Your host for the webinar will be a representative of Promontory Interfinancial Network.
