NEW YORK, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ — Noted Canada-based artist Yana Movchan is
now offering limited-edition premium archival reproductions of her acclaimed
paintings. Several of Movchan’s works are now available as Giclee
reproductions through www.artisticconnections.com .

Each piece demonstrates the Ukraine native’s supreme attention to detail
that captures both tremendous beauty and abiding mystery. Her neo-realist
work, held in private and public collections in the U.S., Canada and the
Ukraine, has been compared to Velasquez, Colville and Magritte. Movchan is
largely influenced by a traditional approach to landscape and still life, both
areas that are experiencing an international revival.

Giclee refers to a much-esteemed, high-end digital printing technique that
creates an exact reproduction of the original on fine arts material such as
canvas. Giclee prints are of archival museum quality and last much longer than
other printing media.

The Giclee method begins with a digital photograph of the original
painting. To match the original exactly, the photo is then adjusted using an
electronically color-balanced monitor. The proof is produced using the same
materials as the final print to ensure authenticity. Specially selected fine
art inks create a finished reproduction of exceptional detail and high
definition.

Giclee printing represents the highest potential for skillful marriage of
art and technology. It is the top choice of artists around the world for
best-quality reproduction.

Movchan’s first available prints are “Two Ages, Two Beauties with Dove,”
“Generosity of Earth,” “Still Life with Cherub and Cat” and “Sparrow and
Pears.” The first reproduction of “Two Ages, Two Beauties with Dove” has been
donated to a hospital in Calgary, Alberta. First reproductions of the other
paintings will also be donated to charity.

Movchan has been internationally recognized for her art. Over the past
decade, the artist has shown her work in a number of solo and group
exhibitions in the U.S. and Canada, and has been commissioned by such clients
as The Glenn Gould Foundation.

Mochvan, 37, demonstrated her artistic talents at a very young age. She
was accepted at age 11 by the Ukrainian Republican School of the Arts in Kiev
and earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Ukrainian Art Academy.
Her master’s degree thesis project from that same institution was accepted by
the Academy Museum.
