Pure Play Music and DSG, Europe’s Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer, Announce Expanded Distribution Deal

Previously-announced agreement increased by 40%; estimated first year revenues for Pure Play of over $18 million

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Pure Play Music (Pink Sheets: PPML) and DSG International, PLC, (DSGI.L) today announced that they have expanded their agreement to sell co-branded MP3 players. Based upon the strong initial response to the program, DSG will now purchase 1.4 million MP3 players pre-loaded with 60 tracks from Pure Play’s catalog of independent unsigned artists. The previous agreement, which was announced in an 8K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission in early November, called for DSG to purchase 1 million co-branded MP3 players.

As a result of the expanded agreement, Pure Play Music expects to realize revenues of nearly $38 million over the two-year period, with over $18 million of this revenue coming during calendar 2009.

The promotion will also provide DSG and Pure Play Music branded vouchers for free music downloads for all DSG customers who purchase qualifying products – including MP3 players, music enabled mobile devices, PC’s, and audio systems.

The music download voucher is redeemable for DRM-free music from Pure Play’s extensive catalog. In addition, the Music Vouchers will entitle the DSG customer to 20 Pure Play’s pre-selected music downloads distributed through iTunes, Amazon, 7 Digital and Rhapsody.

DSG will also sell Pure Play Music’s “Hear It. Buy It.” compilation CDs, another opportunity for Pure Play’s artists to monetize their music.

Pure Play Music will advertise and promote the ‘The Great Digital Music Downloads Giveaway’ on the Pure Play Music website and Internet Radio broadcasts, including their six radio stations delivered via satellite or online. Pure Play Music will also market the promotion virally via its artists’ websites and email circulars.
