The James Taylor Artist Confidential will premiere on SIRIUS XM’s The Coffee House channel on SIRIUS channel 30 and XM channel 51 on Monday, December 15 at 9 pm ET, and will be rebroadcast on Tuesday, December 16 at 12 noon ET; Wednesday, December 17 at 12 am ET; Thursday, December 18 at 3 pm ET; Saturday, December 20 at 9 am ET; and Sunday, December 21 at 9 pm ET.

Additionally, Artist Confidential featuring James Taylor will air on SIRIUS XM’s The Blend channel on SIRIUS channel 2 and XM channel 25 on Wednesday, December 17 at 12 pm ET; Saturday, December 20 at 6 pm ET; and Sunday, December 21 at 9 am ET.

In this edition of Artist Confidential, James Taylor will perform music from his new Grammy Award-nominated CD, Covers, as well as discuss the creative process behind his latest release.

In addition to new material, Taylor will perform classic songs from his own musical career, which began when he was signed to the Beatles’ Apple Records in 1968. The multi-platinum selling artist will perform favorites such as “Carolina on My Mind” and “Sweet Baby James.” Throughout his appearance on Artist Confidential, Taylor will also offer lifetime and devoted new fans stories and anecdotes about a singular musical career spanning 40 years and more than 40 million albums sold.

Covers (Hear Music) debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart, selling 94,500 units in its first week of release. Band arrangements of material featured on the album include covers of Big Mama Thornton’s version of “Hound Dog,” Junior Walker’s “(I’m A) Road Runner” and “Wichita Lineman,” written by Jimmy Webb.

James Taylor received two Grammy(R) Nominations from The Recording Academy of Arts and Sciences on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Covers was acknowledged for Best Pop Vocal Album and Taylor was also nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal for the track, “Wichita Lineman.”
