Blur planning 2009 reunion gig

The British pop group Blur, which hasn't released a new album since 2003, has announced plans to perform a reunion concert in London next summer.

The BBC said the band is scheduled to play in Hyde Park July 3, but will also perform a series of warm-up gigs leading up to the big event.

We haven't rehearsed at all, frontman Damon Albarn told NME. (Guitarist Graham Coxon and I have) played together a bit, but not all of us yet.

It's odd, I suppose, but it's quite a nice feeling that that is around the corner, Coxon added.

Asked what it will be like to have the whole group back together playing, Coxon replied: That's going to be funny; that's just going to make me laugh. It will be funny to see our four faces again in such close proximity in such a positive way because the last time there were four of us together it was really weird.
