Worth Names Albert Menashe One of Top 100 U.S. Attorneys

Posted on: Thursday, 18 December 2008, 07:00 CST

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Albert Menashe was named one of the Top 100 lawyers in America by Worth magazine. Menashe was one of only two Oregon attorneys to receive the honor, and the only family law attorney listed. There were no lawyers from Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, or Hawaii included on the 2008 list.

Each year Worth polls its readers and professionals in accounting, financial planning and academia to select the country's top attorneys with the greatest expertise in family law, trusts and estates, and philanthropy. Hundreds of nominees are then vetted by the magazine's staff to select the 100 best attorneys, based on professional affiliations and publishing history to indicate expertise that is helpful to affluent clients.

Published for high-net-worth individuals and their advisors, Worth reports on issues related to comprehensive wealth management. Worth has an estimated total readership of 250,000, and its subscribers have an average net worth of $4.37 million. The magazine was first published in February 1992.

Menashe served as the president of the Oregon State Bar in 2007. He has been listed among the Best Lawyers in America since 1991, was featured in the Oregon Super Lawyers(R) publication in 2006, 2007 and 2008 (named one of the top 10 attorneys and the highest ranking family law attorney in the state). Menashe is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and is on numerous Who's Who lists nationwide. He is a frequent speaker on family law issues nationally. A native Portlander, Menashe graduated from Wilson High School and the University of Oregon before receiving his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law.

Gevurtz Menashe dedicates its practice exclusively to family law. Based in Portland, the firm handles divorce, custody and parenting issues, adoptions and name changes, grandparents' rights, juvenile law, paternity matters, cohabitation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
