Sonic Announces Grants of Stock Options

NOVATO, Calif., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Sonic Solutions(R) (Nasdaq: SNIC), the leader in digital media software, announced today that the company’s Board of Directors has issued employment inducement stock option grants to ten non-executive employees. These employees joined Sonic as part of the CinemaNow acquisition, which was completed on November 24, 2008. The number of shares involved in these grants totaled 180,000, which is less than 1% of the outstanding common shares of Sonic. The option grants have an exercise price of $1.23 per share and vest over a four-year period.
