Plant resistant to Zeppelin reunion tour

Posted on: Sunday, 21 December 2008, 14:13 CST

Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant says at the age of 60 he feels too old to reunite the British rock band and embark on a reunion tour.

The rocker, who has been earning kudos for his recent album with U.S. bluegrass singer Alsion Krauss, said while he is still friends with Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, he is resistant to talk of a new Zeppelin tour, The Sunday Telegraph reported.

I still see Jimmy quite a lot and he's very complimentary and supportive of what I'm doing, Plant said.

But we are in different places now and you have to go on to do different things.

During an appearance Saturday in Wales, Plant told Gavin and Stacey actress Ruth Jones that he is simply too old for a major worldwide tour.

Do you know how long it took me to climb up onto the stage here -- and it's only four steps, the singer joked with the celebrity interviewer.
