'Tha Carter III' is year's best-selling CD

Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III
was the best-selling album of 2008 in the United States, selling 2.88 million copies, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.
Coming in at No. 2 on the magazine's year-end chart is Coldplay's Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends
with 2.15 million copies sold, followed by Taylor Swift's Fearless
at No. 3 with 2.11 million, Kid Rock 's Rock N Roll Jesus
at No. 4 with 2 million and AC/DC's Black Ice
at No. 5 with 1.92 million.
Rounding out the list of the year's top 10 sellers were Swift's self-titled debut at No. 6 with 1.6 million copies sold, Metallica's Death Magnetic
at No. 7 with 1.57 million, T.I.'s Paper Trail
at No. 8 with 1.52 million, Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static
at No. 9 with 1.5 million and Beyonce's I Am ... Sasha Fierce
at No. 10 with 1.46 million.
