Mesnick in love with his 'Bachelor' pick

Jason Mesnick of Kirkland, Wash., says he is in love with the woman he chose while appearing in this season's episodes of the hit U.S. TV series The Bachelor.

The 32-year-old divorced father-of-one, who missed out on love when he appeared previously on The Bachelorette, said he is engaged to the woman he picked while on ABC's The Bachelor, but cannot reveal her identity as the season is still playing itself out, the Seattle Times reported Sunday.

The season finale of the reality TV series, in which a man searches for love among single female contestants, is due to air in March or April.

Mesnick, who has a 3-year-old son from a previous marriage, told the Times he now does not regret being passed over by Bachelorette star DeAnna Pappas, who picked contestant Jesse Csincsak in the show's fourth season.

Everything happens for a reason. I wouldn't trade my experience with my ex-wife for anything; I wouldn't trade my experience with DeAnna for anything, he told the newspaper. But this, this is forever stuff. And it blows my experience on 'The Bachelorette' away. DeAnna was right, and I can thank her for not picking me, because I found the right person for me.
