Chinese concert series continues, Fallsview pays tribute to Motown sound
NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ - Canadian comedy legend Martin Short and American pop pioneer Bobby Vinton will return to Fallsview Casino Resort for two performances each as part of the resort's entertainment line-up for April 2009.
Short established his reputation as a sketch-comedy genius on SCTV and Saturday Night Live, inventing classic characters like Ed Grimley and Jiminy Glick and mastering impersonations of stars as diverse and Jerry Lewis and Katherine Hepburn. He has also starred in a string of hit movies, including Three Amigos and Father of the Bride and several successful Broadway shows.
When Vinton burst onto the music scene with his hit "Roses are Red" in 1962, he began a decade that saw him earn more number-one hits than any other male solo artist.
Fallsview will continue its highly-popular Chinese concert series in April with shows by a trio of Asian superstars - Na Ying, A Mu and Guan Zhe - and will pay homage to the music of Motown with 24 performances of the stage show Magic of Motown.
