Methodist Weight Management Institute Brings NBC's 'Biggest Loser' to Dallas and Mansfield

DALLAS, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Germanakos, the 4th-season winner in the popular reality TV series The Biggest Loser will be the special guest at two weight management workshops Saturday, January 24 at Methodist Dallas and Methodist Mansfield Medical Centers. The workshops, hosted by Methodist Weight Management Institute, are designed to inspire, motivate, and educate people who want to make a healthy change through medically-managed or and surgical weight loss.

"I became half the man, so that I could be twice the man," says Germanakos, who lost 164 pounds. After having been re-educated about diet and exercise, his goal is to "pay it forward" by helping educate those who also struggle with obesity.

The first workshop will take place Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Following a private lunch with participants from the Methodist Weight Management Institute's Coaches Challenge (www.coacheschallenge.org), Germanakos will speak at a second public weight-loss workshop Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Participants at the events will also be eligible to win one year's tuition in Methodist's To Life! (TM) Program, a physician-led, multidisciplinary lifestyle change program that combines behavioral modification with nutrition and fitness, a $1,695 value.
