Settlement of Class Action Lawsuit Makes Monetary Benefits Available for Missourians Who Received Unsolicited Facsimile Advertisements

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Circuit Court of Greene County Missouri has preliminarily approved settlement of a class action lawsuit against International Collection Services of Minnesota for sending unsolicited facsimile advertisements to Missourians. The lawsuit, Top Craft v. ICS alleged that International Collection sent thousands of unsolicited facsimile advertisements in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

All Missourians who were sent the unsolicited facsimiles between May 1, 2003 and May 1, 2004 may receive up to $500 as part of the settlement.

A website has been created to provide more details about the settlement to members of the class, including how to file a proof of claim and how to be excluded from the case.
