Former Gemstar-TV Guide Executive Bo Park Joins MWW Group as Senior Vice President

Park Brings Fifteen Years of Reputation Management Experience to MWW Group’s Global Corporate Communications Practice

NEW YORK, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ – MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of the nation’s top ten public relations firms, announced today that Bo Park has joined the company as senior vice president, corporate reputation. Park will serve as a senior member of MWW Group’s Corporate Communications practice. Park came to MWW Group after serving as vice president of communications at Gemstar-TV Guide, the leading media, entertainment and technology company, which was acquired by Macrovision Solutions Corporation (Nasdaq: MVSN) in 2008.

In her fifteen years as a corporate communications practitioner, Park has supported clients ranging in size from the Fortune 500 to Internet start-ups, including Deloitte & Touche, BP, American Airlines, Prudential Insurance, Chiquita Brands International, About.com and Monster.com.

In her time at Gemstar-TV Guide, Park was responsible for managing communications in support of the company’s business and financial turnaround, including executive and internal communications, financial and business media relations and transaction communications (M&A and divestitures). Park also acted as a company spokesperson and editor-in-chief of an award-winning employee newsletter.

Prior to Gemstar-TV Guide, Park served as director of communications for Cablevision’s start-up satellite service, VOOM, during which time she spearheaded an award-winning consumer and technology media relations campaign. Park also served as the primary spokesperson for Rainbow DBS during a time of considerable difficulty for the organization.

Prior to Rainbow DBS, Ms. Park served as vice president and senior media strategist for the corporate practice at Ogilvy Public Relations. Before Ogilvy, Bo was the managing director and senior vice president of the corporate issues practice at Weber Shandwick, where she focused on corporate and crisis communications and media relations for a wide range of clients.

Park majored in English Literature at Barnard College/Columbia University in New York and is fluent in Korean and proficient (Berlitz Level 6/7) in French. She is a D-Licensed (expert) skydiver with approximately 600 jumps. Bo is also accredited as a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators.
