Rourke scraps ‘Wrestlemania’ appearance
Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke has decided not to make a planned appearance at

Rourke has since changed his mind about partaking in the professional wrestling event, his representative said in a statement issued to
Mickey was very honored to be asked as he has the greatest respect for WWE, however, he will not be participating in ‘Wrestlemania,’ the statement said.
He is focusing entirely on his acting career.
Jericho, appearing via satellite on
Larry King Live, called Rourke’s performance in
immaculate and said he did a
tremendous job, but also added that he had no respect for Rourke after he tried to challenge him in the real-life ring.
Rourke, speaking to King and Jericho live on the show, said he wanted to take the high road by not engaging in any trash talking and wished Jericho well. He also said he has tremendous respect for professional wrestlers, including Jericho.
Perhaps I did put my foot in my mouth, Rourke said with a smile.
