Hospital Ranked Eighth in the Large Companies Category for 2009
Created in 2006, the award program is conducted in partnership with The Texas Association of Business (TAB) and the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and identifies the top 100 Texas companies that benefit the state's economy, workforce and businesses while exemplifying workplace excellence.
Medical City was ranked eighth in the "Large-Sized" company category, which includes businesses with at least 250 employees. Medical City ranked 15th on the list in 2006.
"Being selected for this award is special in that it truly reflects the feelings and opinions of Medical City employees, since their input is such a crucial part of the selection process," said
The selection of companies is based on a two-part process that allows award analysts to assess the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies. The first part of the assessment evaluates company policies, practices and demographics. The second part uses employee surveys to measure engagement and satisfaction. These two parts are combined to determine the top companies and the final rankings.
