Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’s Please Read the Letter won the Record of the Year title at the 51st annual Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles Sunday night.

When we started this project together, the whole game was a mystery, rocker Plant said of his foray into bluegrass and country music, alongside Krauss. We brought this song out. It’s an old song that Jimmy Paige and I wrote post-Led Zeppelin and it’s been given that Nashville touch and it feels pretty good. Thank you.

Plant and Krauss earlier won Grammys for pop collaboration with vocals for Rich Woman, country collaboration with vocals for Killing the Blues, and best contemporary folk/Americana album for Raising Sand, which was also nominated for Album of the Year.
