The man accused of killing British actor Rob Knox screamed make my day
before stabbing him, a witness testified in court.
Nicky Jones, 20, described to jurors in London's courthouse how he had tried to calm Karl Bishop as he waved a knife outside a bar in Sidcup, only to be stabbed in the hand during the confrontation resulting in Knox's death, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.
Jurors have been told the actor -- who is in the to-be-released Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
-- died trying to defend his brother, Jamie, after he had been threatened by Bishop.
Bishop, 21, of Sidcup in Kent, has said he was innocent of murder and five charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, claiming he was acting in self-defense.
Jones said he and some friends, including the Knox brothers, encountered Bishop twice before the defendant moved toward Rob Knox, saying, Who's going to make my f-----g day?
Jones, testifying he was holding a couple of bottles to defend himself, said he told Bishop, 'If you calm down, I'll calm down,'
and placed the bottles on the floor, the British newspaper said.
It was as I stood up that he then lunged towards the group and towards Rob,
Jones said.
