John M. Finan, 'A Mayor Who Cares', Officially Announces His Candidacy for Mayor of New York City in Contention to Hon. Michael R. Bloomberg 2009

Posted on: Thursday, 12 February 2009, 06:47 CST

NEW YORK, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Finan presents the entire platform in his new book, 'Americans Arm Yourselves Now The Revolution is Coming' http://www.aayntric.com, in bookstores Summer 2009.

Mr. John M. Finan, CEO, New York City Consulting Group LLC, states, "As the economy is on the tip of everyone's tongues and rightly so, we will have a brief update, then we will look at THE NUMBERS, as well as the entire platform. This, for my part, is a matter of insight and diligence: "The Prosperity Campaign, FINAN 2009 - A Mayor Who Cares"

It's been some time since I have communicated to all of our loyal and devoted supporters. It is heartwarming and inspiring for me to receive the many thousands of e-mails and letters. It is my inspiration and keeps me going! Thank You.

Let's look at The Numbers and The Platform for FINAN 2009, "The Prosperity Campaign". For starters, I think I'll keep the police and the firefighters in tact as well as keeping recruitment going. Recently, while on Hiatus, I was in an Army and Navy type store browsing. It was after I read the recently published budget for NYC issued by our current Mayor stating that he wishes to cut back NYPD and NYFD. Strangely enough, I saw this button for seven (7) dollars, so I picked it up to show to you. It inspired me. You see clearly that it is written under the American Eagles Head which is backed by a waving flag, "We Will Never Forget 9-11-2001". I believe that if we are going to start making the police and firefighters lose their jobs and face cutbacks making their jobs less safe and less effective, we may have to recall all of these pins, t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. and re-issue them with "How Quickly We Will Forget" printed on them. You get my point.

At your request, I have officially declared my candidacy for Mayor of New York City in 2009. As you know, I have been on a brief Hiatus in the South East United States. Here, I have been hitting the gym, eating fresh healthy food, engaging in some extremely focused post/pre campaign socializing, Riding My Steel Horse, making sure my loyal hound "Meip" is ok and working for you.

I have been meeting, conferencing and conferring with my most trusted confidants. We have been intensely detailing plans for The New York City Mayoral run. In addition, I have been recovering from the grueling schedule I have kept since 2007 with The Presidential Race for The White House 2008 (www.JohnMFinan.com), and Senatorial Bid for New York State to fill Secretary of State Clintons former Senatorial Seat, 2009 http://www.nyccg.com/Letter_To_Governor_Paterson_Finan%20as%20NY%20Senator_200%20MPG%20Vehiclel[1].pdf.

John M. Finan, as Mayor, will make New York City a better place. With these increased revenues we can have excellent Education, Health Care, Infrastructure, and Services. We will never create these types of revenues with juvenile initiatives such as parking tickets and cutbacks. John M. Finan presents to the voter both business genius and bold economic initiatives that will create a shift in the socio economic paradigm of the city of New York, the state of New York, the United States of America, and ultimately the entire global community. New York City will lead, as we should, by example. All of my philosophies and a full introduction to the voter who is not yet familiar with John M. Finan can be viewed at www.JohnMFinan.com, www.NYCCG.com. Additionally, for a limited time, a preview of, "Americans Arm Yourselves Now The Revolution is Coming", www.AAYNTRIC.com, a collection of the social, political, and economic philosophical essays of John M. Finan. (Available in bookstores summer 2009)

Although I am, at this time, undeclared, I believe in Libertarian principles and believe in less taxes, less government and more freedom. Because of the nature of my platform and the nature of New York City being its own arena, my supporters feel that I could capture the majority of Democratic, Libertarian, working families, Independent and Liberal Republican Votes. We also feel and believe that an economic correction is needed to move towards the freedom which our founding fathers fought for and had intended for us. This correction is needed as we the people have been looted for some time and are currently being looted by our political leadership. In order to achieve this leveling of the playing field, I have detailed some economic philosophies in my essay "Domestic Issues" that can be viewed at www.johnmfinan.com by clicking "Domestic Issues." The portion referring to "Robin Hood Economics" in particular seems to resonate well at this time. We are fortunate to have the resources in New York City of some of the wealthiest people in the world. It is time that a political leader makes them live up to their financial responsibilities as members of the community. As you know, I have lived amongst these people and have a full understanding of their mindset and ability to rationalize anything with regard to fattening and protecting their own pockets. I cannot in a million years see our current Mayor imposing an increased financial burden on himself or his "Cronies". I don't think he could part with his money nor do I think he would be very popular with his fellow elitists around the club. John M. Finan, as you can read in his upcoming memoir at www.AAYNTRIC.com, has no problem seeing to it that the elitists pay their share now. "I have suffered much indignation and mistreatment at the hand of elitists in New York City. I also know exactly how they accumulate and "shelter" their wealth. It would be my pleasure, as your Mayor, to ensure that the most wealthy live up to their moral, ethical, legal and financial responsibility to their fellow citizens of New York City," States Finan. "Furthermore, (in response to the Elitist threat of 'We will leave and live somewhere else and take our money with us'), I say good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out if that is the way that you feel about being part of the community. Additionally, don't forget to leave half of your wealth here as I will not let you take it with you. We are all in this together and one way or the other, the wealthy will contribute. I will ask nicely at first", states Mayoral candidate John M. Finan.

What good is it if you take a $1 salary and choose not to accept the honor of Gracie Mansion as your residence if in return you ticket and tax the citizens to death? This is False Philanthropy. It is my intent to use my business abilities and genius for the good of the people of this city. That is what you are supposed to do as Mayor, or any public service job right up to the President of the United States of America. You are there to serve the people with every fiber of your being. I feel that it is evident that the current Mayor is a good businessman as his net worth has gone from somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 Billion to I believe 20 Billion (give or take a few billion). Hizzoner states that we need him during the economic crises as he is such a good businessman. If so, then why are his pockets so deeply lined and the peoples' pockets (who he is supposed to be serving) are empty? This is mystifying to me. Is it to you? I would think so. Perhaps he is a businessman and not a public servant? Furthermore, if his genius business mind can only come up with the bright ideas of more parking tickets, higher parking meters, and lessening services then I don't see the genius. Do You? I wouldn't think so. We are in agreement.

Essentially, my main competitor has illegally extended his term by some means that I can't even explain; however, I did touch on in it in my communique to Governor Paterson and President Obama 1-22-09. This can be found as Chapter 15 "Americans Arm Yourselves Now -The Revolution Is Coming". www.AAYNTRIC.com. This gentleman has exhibited many traits of a dictator. Namely, media control via BLOOMBERG, willingness to ignore the people and illegally control the courts via the illegal third term, and "Cronyism". These are, amongst other traits, precursors to dictatorship. If we allow this we are going down a slippery slope, to say the least. This is not what our founding fathers had in mind for us at all. I have detailed this clearly in Chapter 16 www.AAYNTRIC.com titled "Don't Mess With Term Limits". That being said, I state that Michael and I remain friends. I consider him an American patriot, although somewhat misguided at the moment. His time as Mayor has passed, however he will be kept in a position of high esteem and we wish him well in his future political endeavors. Additionally, he will be my honored guest at the First Annual Christmas Tree Festival in Central Park.

When I see an elected official illegally keeping his position as well as using (IWT) Illegal Wealth Transfer - (Which is, Essentially, Taxation without Representation - ref. Boston Tea Party) in such a blatant way it causes me a high degree of indignation, as I am sure it does all of you. I suggest to you, the voter, that the only immediate solution to end Illegal Wealth Transfer (IWT) is THE VOTE and I encourage YOU to use it. Take YOUR city back, peacefully, while it is still an option. Mr. John M. Finan implores you to please do this now, with your vote, before it is too late for you to do so. Your vote, he asks you to consider him for, and he asks you with all respect and humility.

A formal press conference will be held at Grand Army Plaza, 59th Street and 5th Avenue, New York City, New York, The United States of America, Time and Date to be announced, via PRNewswire and direct e-mail, 28x12x24x7, This is a message of Hope and Change, Vote FINAN in 2009, LIVE FREE!!"
