MIRAMAR, Fla., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Gulf Building Corp. has completed the construction of the city's new $14 million Ansin Sports Complex, a 24-acre park featuring a state-of-the-art Super X Mondo running track identical to the 2008 Olympic track in Beijing, and also a 5,000-square-foot all inclusive playground that was sponsored by the Children's Services Council of Broward County.

The Sports Complex will open to the public on Feb. 14 with a ribbon cutting, followed by a torch run.

The running track is IAAF certified (International Association of Athletic Federations) and capable of hosting national and international competition. The park, at 10801 Miramar Blvd., also includes outdoor basketball, netball courts with lights and a cricket practice area. In addition to the outdoor amenities, the 10,000-square-foot Ansin Sports Community Center will have a computer lab, recreation room, game room, men's and women's locker room, concession stand, offices and a second floor press area that overlooks the track.

"We are very pleased to be part of bringing this great sports and recreational complex to the residents of Miramar," said John Scherer, Gulf Partner and Vice President of Construction. "The City of Miramar has served its people well by providing a complex that its families will enjoy for decades to come."
