Billy Joel was greeted with thunderous applause Thursday night as he officially opened The Show, the new $76M concert theatre at Agua Caliente Casino, Resort, Spa in Rancho Mirage, California.

The music industry icon opened the private grand opening event with a heart-pounding performance of “My Life” followed by “The Entertainer” and dozens of other classics and new favorites he’s made famous over the years. More than 2,000 guests were on hand for this exclusive event including actors
Annie Wersching and
Esai Morales, plus Baseball Hall-of-Famer
Johnny Bench, and comedian
John Farley.
The
Billy Joel concert was the first event in The Show’s triple-play grand opening celebration. Tonight, Matchbox Twenty will take the stage, performing for another sold out crowd. Saturday, Country star
Martina McBride will do the same, wrapping up a star-studded weekend of glitz and glamour at this plush new concert theatre located just two hours east of Los Angeles.
