Girls Aloud signs 3-album deal

The British pop group Girls Aloud, the subject of breakup talk, says it has signed a three-album deal with its Fascination record label.

The BBC said news of the pact comes after recent media reports suggested the group's five members plan to dissolve their professional partnership and go their separate ways.

Girls Aloud said it plans to release its next album some time next year.

The group is nominated for the Brit Awards for best group and best British single for their song, The Promise.
