BOSTON SKI & SPORTS CLUB KICKS OFF SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION WITH PARTY ON 2/26; "PLAY THE FIELD" FOR BEST JOB NETWORKING

BRIGHTON, Mass., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Today's career counselors tell job seekers to polish their image and resume, and get away from the computer to network as much as possible. According to widely-cited statistics, over 80 percent of today's jobs are filled through networking and referrals.

With this in mind, Boston Ski & Sports Club (BSSC) reminds active professionals that spring sports registration kicks off February 26, and leagues fill up quickly. Over 30,000 active professionals participate in the organization's lineup of year-round affordable and well-organized activities for members, non-members and corporate/alumni groups.

Spring sports keep body, mind and spirit healthy while making important social and professional connections. With golf season months away, connecting in a BSSC adult sports league is a great way to expand your contacts and experience authentic, face-to-face human interaction - beyond Facebook and email.

Whether you are into spring softball, soccer, football, kickball, ultimate Frisbee or women's lacrosse, be the first to register at BSSC's spring sports registration party at the White Horse Tavern (116 Brighton Ave., Allston) on Feb. 26 from 5-7 p.m. This event will accept individual registrations only.

In addition to a free beer, early registrants can take home gifts like Puma backpacks, meet teammates and BSSC program managers, register online on a laptop, and play Stump Trivia to break the ice. Call BSSC for team sports registration information at 617-789-4070 -- teams save $50 by registering one month prior to the league start date.

"Connecting with real people in this wired city isn't easy," said of BSSC. "Spring sports are an easy and affordable way to stay fit, connect with people with mutual interests, and relieve stress by having fun."

Boston Ski & Sports Club is Boston's largest social, sports and ski club. For over 43 years, BSSC provides high-quality activities that make it easy to play sports, be adventurous, ski, travel, and connect with other enthusiasts in the Greater Boston area. Annual membership is $65 or $90 for two years. For more information, call Boston Ski & Sports Club at 617-789-4070 or visit online at www.bssc.com or on Facebook.
