Aspen Skiing Company Recognized as SIA SnowSports’ Mountain Retailer of the Year

MCLEAN, Va. Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ — SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is proud to award Aspen Skiing Company as the Mountain SIA US SnowSports Retailer of the Year. They also won the 2006.07 and 2007.08 SIA US SnowSports Retailer of the Year Award for the Mountain region. Winners of the SIA SnowSports Retailers of the Year and the Canadian SnowSports Retailers and Reps of the Year were honored at an Awards Ceremony during the SIA.09 SnowSports Trade Show, in Las Vegas. Awardees were chosen based on specific criteria and for consistently making a significant impact in the snow sports industry.

Retailer nominees in the US hailed from seven different regions and were voted on by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry. Winners of the Canadian accolades came from six different territories in their country. Canadian retail winners were nominated by suppliers and reps while the Canadian Rep winners were nominated by retail shops.

The Aspen Skiing Company (Aspen Mountain Four/Mountain Sports/D&E Ski and Snowboard Shop) has implemented many innovative marketing ideas and outstanding retail promotions.
