Initiation of the Rotary Club of Ras Al Khaimah

RAS AL KHAIMAH, United Arab Emirates, February 19 /PRNewswire/ — A
prestigious dinner was organised and attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr
Al Qasimi and many visiting and local dignities, in honour of the initiation
of the Rotary Club of Ras Al Khaimah in Al Jazeera Restaurant Al Hamra Fort
Hotel.

The dinner was attended by over 200 UAE Rotarians from Dubai and Ras Al
Khaimah. It celebrated the presentation of the Charter of the Rotary Club in
Ras-al Khaimah, (District 2450), by the District Governor Mr Zakaria Al
Shafei, to Club President Mr. Guy Makki.

The Ras Al Khaimah Rotary Club is under the patronage of His Highness
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

The Club seeks to provide a forum to bring together the many business and
professional leaders of differing cultural backgrounds that form the growing
community of Ras Al Khaimah.

Rotary is a volunteer organization of 1.2 million members worldwide, who
provide humanitarian service, while promoting good will and peace in their
local communities.

The Ras Al Khaimah Club meetings are held at 1 pm every Tuesday at the Al
Hamra Fort Hotel.

RAK Rotary members will work together to help support various medical,
educational, social or charitable deeds within Ras al Khaimah community.

The exceptional development of Ras-al Khaimah and the vision of its
leaders HH Sheikh Saqr al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras al Khaimah, and of HH Sheikh

Saud bin Saqr al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al Khaimah and Member of the
Supreme Council of the UAE Federation, denote Ras Al Khaimah as the ideal
location where new Fellow Rotarians can faithfully fulfil the missions and
objective of the Rotary International.

The Rotary Club of Ras-al Khaimah will be an opportunity to represent Ras
al Khaimah is, as well as the Rotarian message it seeks to communicate to the
World.

The Chartering evening also corresponds to the sixtieth anniversary of
the accession to the throne of HH Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi.
