‘HSM4′ TV movie in the works

A fourth High School Musical
movie is slated to air on the Disney Channel with a new cast in 2010, Variety.com reported Tuesday.
The first two installments of the popular franchise also were television movies, while the third got a worldwide theatrical release last year.
The same cast appeared in all three films, however, the most recent offering showed the popular characters graduating from high school, paving the way for the arrival of a new class.
Variety.com said High School Musical 4
is expected to begin production later this year, but it is unclear if Kenny Ortega will return as its director.
Peter Barsocchini is to return as screenwriter. He also penned the first three movies.
