Michael Jackson's representatives say the U.S. pop star is planning a press conference at the O2 arena in London, sparking speculation he'll soon perform.
The BBC quoted a statement released by Jackson's camp as saying the singer once dubbed The King of Pop
is to make a special announcement
at the venue Thursday.
The statement was issued after months of rumors that the reportedly financially-strapped artist would start performing again to make some money. Jackson last toured 12 years ago.
The BBC said Jackson is expected to line up a series of gigs at the O2 arena, much like Prince did in 2007 and as Britney Spears has scheduled for this June.
