Beth Smith Named Vice President of Public Relations for The Simon Group

SELLERSVILLE, Pa., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Beth Smith has recently been appointed to the position of vice president of public relations for The Simon Group Inc., an award-winning, full service business-to-business marketing communications agency specializing in high tech and industrial accounts. Smith was promoted to the new position in response to the extensive growth of PR among the agency's diverse account base as more clients look to increase market exposure in their target industries.

Smith will continue to lead the internationally renowned PR department, while expanding her role in the development of PR programs and their increasing strategic impact on the company's clientele throughout the industrial, high technology and electronics industries.

Smith's promotion highlights her achievements as The Simon Group's Executive Director of Public Relations since 2001. During her tenure, the PR department has received numerous accolades, most recently being ranked fourth in the 2008 Philadelphia Business Journal's top 25 area PR firms. The agency has achieved similar distinctions from various industry-related organizations over the past several years.

Smith holds a B.A. in English from Marist College and a Master's Degree in Professional Communication from La Salle University.
