Lazarex Cancer Foundation Chosen as an Official Charity of Inaugural Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in Seattle

DANVILLE, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Lazarex Cancer Foundation, a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit, has been chosen as an official charity beneficiary of the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle inaugural marathon and 1/2 marathon on June 27, 2009. Becoming an official charity means that individuals and groups around the country can train and prepare for the event and raise much needed funds to help Lazarex Cancer Foundation change the face of cancer.

"We are proud to have the honor of being chosen by the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle team as an official national charity," says Dana Dornsife, president, Lazarex Cancer Foundation. "Along with other significant national charities, such as Team in Training, Susan G. Komen, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, we'll help participants get ready for race day and help their favorite charity at the same time."

The Lazarex Cancer Foundation Team for Life training and fundraising program has been developed to help participants prepare for the Seattle event. Lazarex will provide training and fundraising support, including seasoned coaches to complete a 1/2 or full marathon and raise funds. Participants can help make a difference in the lives of cancer patients by raising critically needed funds with low minimum fundraising requirements and progressive incentives.
