"Cohen & Grigsby is dedicated to supporting the sustained development and enhancement of this region, and we believe that a vibrant, flourishing arts community is vital to the region's prosperity. Our creation of an art gallery within our new offices is another way we can share in promoting talented local artists," said Kaveri Subbarao, chief marketing officer and attorney at law. "We are pleased to christen our new gallery with 'Growth' and look forward to hosting more art exhibitions in the future."

The debut of Cohen & Grigsby's art gallery is the latest example of Cohen & Grigsby's commitment to a "Culture of Performance," which is an articulation of the firm's philosophy of always taking ownership of client satisfaction, ensuring that attorneys act as business counselors as well as legal advisors, and focusing on working smarter and more efficiently. It is also the most recent effort by the firm to support arts in the region.

When Cohen & Grigsby re-established its headquarters in Pittsburgh's Cultural District last fall, the firm forged a partnership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust by becoming the Presenting Sponsor of the 2008-2009 "Trust Presents" series. "Trust Presents" brings a diverse array of entertainment to Pittsburgh's Cultural District. The 2008-2009 playbill boasts nearly 20 performances at both the Byham Theater and the Benedum Center, including appearances by Lily Tomlin, the National Acrobats of China and David Sedaris.

"Since Cohen & Grigsby moved back to the Cultural District, our attorneys and staff have immersed themselves in all that it has to offer - from the symphony and award-winning shows to art galleries and eclectic cultural events," said Jack Elliott, president and CEO of Cohen & Grigsby. "We firmly believe that a robust Cultural District will ultimately contribute to the overall growth and vitality of the region, and the firm's new gallery can play a role in this endeavor."

"Cohen & Grigsby has created a beautiful gallery within its offices, and our organization is pleased that the 'Growth' exhibit was chosen to unveil the new space," said Kitty Spangler, president of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. "We are excited about working with Cohen & Grigsby on this and showcasing our members' works."

Those wishing to view "Growth" after the opening reception on March 27 can do so by calling 412-297-4900 to make an appointment.
