Goody too sick to see Shetty

Jade Goody’s publicist says the British reality TV star isn’t well enough to see her friend, Indian actress Shilpa Shetty.

Goody and Shetty sparred, then became close friends as housemates on the competition series Celebrity Big Brother.

Goody’s publicist Max Clifford told the BBC Shetty wanted to visit the terminally ill Goody this week, but Goody isn’t up to it.

She is not well. Shilpa totally understands that, Clifford said.

Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August and underwent treatment, but the disease has since spread to her bowel, liver and groin. She left the hospital last week and headed home to spend her final days with her husband and two young children.

(Goody) has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way, Clifford told the BBC. Now we’re waiting for the inevitable. It could be at any time, we just don’t know.
