Three arrested in ‘Top Model’ melee
Three people were arrested and six injured when fights broke out among would-be contestants at a casting call for
America’s Next Top Model in New York.
Usmagazine.com said the incident happened Saturday as hundreds of hopefuls gathered at the Park Central Hotel in Manhattan.
The audition for the CW show drew an unusually high turnout because it was the first time contestants shorter than the 5-foot-7 requirement were invited to try out. Police were forced to shut the casting call down as the fighting on line grew out of hand, Usmagazine.com said.
Everyone got thrown everywhere, Annina Manttari, who showed up to try out, told The New York Times.
People were getting run over.
Two women and one man were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and inciting to riot, The Times said.
