Daniel J. Eizans Joins Bassett Firm As Senior Communication Manager And Counselor

Eizans' Core Expertise Includes Web 2.0 Experience, Social Media, Marketing And Promotion

DETROIT, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning marketing and advertising professional Daniel J. Eizans joins Detroit-based Bassett & Bassett, Incorporated Communication Managers and Counselors as a senior communication manager and counselor, effective March 16, 2009. He will be responsible for designing, managing and implementing strategic communication programs with an emphasis on social media and Web 2.0 applications.

Eizans has an exceptional professional background in marketing and journalism. He comes to Team Bassett from Campbell Ewald, where he served as an Associate Editorial Director and has been responsible for shaping and leading the development of digital publishing projects for Chevrolet and other Campbell Ewald clients.

He was part of a team at Campbell Ewald that earned two Pearl Awards from the Custom Publishing Council.

Eizans previously was Web editor at Crain's Detroit Business and instrumental in redesigning Crain's Web site, as well as designing and developing daily Crain's email products ranging from podcasts and micro-sites to strategy development and weekly news management.

Before joining Crain's, Eizans was a reporter and columnist for the Monroe Evening News covering police, courts, fire and public safety. He was also a featured columnist focusing on music, arts and local cultural programs in Monroe, MI and Toledo, OH.

Eizans, who grew up in metro Detroit, earned a B.A. in journalism from Central Michigan University. He is active in various civic and professional associations, including 313 Digital, an organization that champions digital media and marketing in the Metro Detroit area.
