HDTV is Digital TV's Best Answer to the World Crisis!

MOSCOW, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Third International Conference on High-Definition Television is to function under the motto <<HDTV is digital TV's best answer to the world crisis!>>

The conference is to be held at Expocentre ( Moscow) on May 13, 2009, within the framework of the SvyazExpocomm'2009 exhibition.

The conference organizer is the Scientific and Production Company "ERA," LLC. The Russian summit of specialists in the field of HDTV will be held with the support of: the Ministry of telecommunications and mass communications of the RF, the Association for High-Definition Television and Digital Cinema (HD Union), and also with cooperation of the CEC Expocentre.

The organizers are planning that during the conference its participants will exchange practical experience of HDTV introduction in Russia, and, particularly, the experience in the field of HDTV operation within different networks (satellite, cable, IPTV, and on-air). There will be information reports on unique interactive technologies, joining different media environments (television, HDTV included, the Internet, telephone). It is expected that secrets of exclusive developments in the field of interactive services enabling to increase the popularity and profitability of channels and rendering new opportunities for TV-viewers will be disclosed. Within the framework of the conference specialists are to present new developments in the field of HDTV equipment by home and foreign manufacturers. The conference participants will also consider urgent issues connected with the production and distribution of the HDTV content; they will also familiarize themselves with the solutions from TV-studios, distribution and content aggregation companies.

During the conference HDTV materials and interactive digital services will be demonstrated on a large screen.

The conference is to be interesting both for broadcasters, communications operators and content and equipment distributors, and representatives of state and scientific institutions.
