Hollywood actress Julia Roberts says that just because it's been a while since she has starred in a movie doesn't mean she hasn't been working.
The Oscar winner, who married cameraman Daniel Moder in 2002 and gave birth to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in 2004 and son Henry in 2007, has kept busy producing TV and film projects, doing voiceover work and playing supporting roles in movies since she became a family woman.
I think that someone said that I made 13 movies in the last six years,
Roberts told reporters in New York recently, while promoting her new romantic comedy-thriller Duplicity.
Work is work,
Roberts said in response to a journalist's comment about how Duplicity
might be viewed by some as her comeback since it is her first lead role in a few years. "If I leave my house to go to work, it's work.
Listen, if someone wanted to say that I was not being attentive to my children and 'Look, she's made all these movies in the last six years and her kids aren't even 5 --' you can make whatever case you want. I feel that I have always been pretty methodical in the amount of work that I've done, especially in the last like 12 or 15 years. It just seems like I don't really do two or three movies a year. It's never been my capability.
