Dr. Phil to offer Detroit residents advice

TV psychotherapist Phil McGraw will offer Detroit residents advice on how best to deal with the recession, event organizers say.

The Dr. Phil star is to appear at three Detroit events in April at which he will likely share his take on the current economic downturn facing the nation, the Detroit Free Press reported Saturday.

The McGraw appearances include an April1 presentation at the Music Hall in Detroit and an April 2 appearance at I Am My Brother's Keeper Ministries.

The ministries appearance by the TV personality will be modeled after a town hall discussion and will be moderated by author Mitch Albom, the Free Press said.

McGraw's final scheduled appearance will take place April 2 at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor with tickets available at $75 each.
