'Da'Sheal: The Eternal Warrior'

LAS VEGAS, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Inspired by action movies, television and the music of Linkin Park, Michael Timothy Mason was inspired to write the science fiction/fantasy novel "Da'Sheal: The Eternal Warrior" (published by iUniverse).

Imagine being unconscious and then waking ten years in the future to discover that you are able to transform your limbs into killing blades of steel while conjuring bails of light and electricity in order to attack. So begins the story of Hunter Stone, the protagonist in Mason's fast-moving world from the future.

Originally starting out as a short story project for a creative writing class in high school where the author's teacher saw potential, Mason eventually fleshed out what was to become "Da'Sheal: The Eternal Warrior," the first in a trilogy. The novel travels from Edinburgh, Scotland to Seattle, Washington with a stopover in Las Vegas, Nevada. Music is a major backdrop to this story, especially the sounds of the rock band Linkin Park. However, it is more than just music and travel; it is Hunter Stone's story of having been chosen by aliens for a very special mission.

The Greys are an alien race who has selected Stone to be part of an elite warrior group. Together they fight an intergalactic war to save the Greys from obliteration. Readers will discover that "Da'Sheal" reads like a fast-moving movie or video game and will be looking eagerly for the second book in the trilogy.

About the Author

Michael Timothy Mason went to school for radio broadcasting and was a disc jockey, but writing has always been his passion. He originally came up with the concept for "Da'Sheal" when he was in high school. His ideas originated from movies, television, comic books, music and video games. The author was born in California, moved to Arizona and then to Washington State. He now lives with his wife, Patti, and son, Corin, in Las Vegas. He is available for interviews.
