Ailing woman serenaded by ‘Jersey’ singers
An ailing woman says being serenaded by the four stars of the touring Broadway musical Jersey Boys
in her Chicago home was wonderful.
Sherry Tomasello, who gave each performer a kiss for their time, was overwhelmed at the gesture, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
I think it’s good — wonderful,
the ailing woman said of the Friday visit.
Judy Charnota said she never truly expected the singers, who are performing in Chicago, to show up at the home of her friend, who WLS-TV reported has colon cancer.
I never dreamed it would happen,
Charnota said.
Charnota had contacted members of the Chicago media regarding her performance request and Jersey
star Cory Grant said he and his fellow singers were happy to oblige, the Sun-Times reported.
We’re happy to make house calls,
Grant told the Sun-Times.
