‘Dance’ title goes to strongman Samuelsson

Former World's Strongest Man winner Magnus Samuelsson says he is proud to have won the Swedish TV series Let's Dance.

The Swedish muscleman, who was paired with dancer Annika Sjoo in the TV4 competition, edged out songwriter Laila Bagge for top honors in the televised dance contest, The Local reported Saturday.

For me this is something that is very difficult, I am proud of having come as far as we did, Samuelsson said Friday on the Swedish version of the U.S. series Dancing with the Stars.

The winning couple used a jive, show dance and slow foxtrot to take home the dancing crown, beating the paso doble, show dance and tango by Bagge and her partner, Tobias Wallin.

The Local said while show judges favored Bagge and Wallin, Samuelsson and Sjoo earned the victory after winning majority of the viewers' votes.
