Report: Goody’s sons won’t attend funeral
Jade Goody’s young sons are not expected to attend the late reality television star’s funeral this weekend in England, People.com reported Monday.
Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August and underwent treatment but the disease spread to her bowel, liver and groin. She left the hospital this month and headed home to spend her final days with her husband and two young children. She died March 22 at the age of 27.
Goody’s ex-boyfriend, Jeff Brazier, is taking his two sons with him — 5-year-old Bobby and 4-year-old Freddie — on a trip to Australia while friends, family and fans say their final goodbyes to Goody Saturday, People.com said.
The magazine also reported on its Web site that U.S. pop star Michael Jackson — whose brother Jermaine appeared on British TV’s Celebrity Big Brother
with Goody — sent his condolences to Goody’s mother, Jackiey Budden, and Goody’s widower, Jack Tweed.
He sent a message saying Jade was a ‘very brave girl.’ He said, ‘You must be very proud of her and what she achieved, that so many lives will be saved because of her,’
family spokesman Max Clifford said. He sent them his condolences and said that he will be sending flowers for the funeral this weekend.
